I graduated from the University of British Columbia with my bachelors of applied science, mechanical engineering in 2025. While this is my most prestigious education, I feel its worth mentioning a couple other organizations that gave me skills I cherish and use constantly. The Air Cadet program and the Okanagan Piano Arts Academy gave me leadership and public speaking opportunities that influenced every step of my education, and have become indispensable tools in my professional life. Without their influence I simply would not be who I am today. The shiny boots and pretty tunes are a nice bonus as well.
I love the kind of problem solving that working with mechanical systems entail. While my motorcycles and truck are great examples of larger projects that allow me exercise this problem solving, they also provide a means of exploring nature. Being from the Okanagan I grew up on the border of an endless expanse of backcountry trails leading to a near infinite amount of beautiful places, I never get tired of exploring new spots in nature. During the pandemic I picked up film photography to try and capture the places I’ve found, bonus points to film because the cameras are often free and are their own mechanical puzzle to get working again.
